REMINDER – OUTDOOR WATER USE RESTRICTIONS ARE IN EFFECT
Our daily water usage is continuing to exceed the pumping capacity of our water system and reducing our reserve storage.  In order to ensure the uninterrupted supply of water to all of our consumers, the following outdoor water use restrictions are currently in effect:

  • No watering of lawns
  • No washing of vehicles or household items
  • No rinsing or power washing of driveways or walkways

Watering of gardens is allowable using a handheld device.
Some other reminders to save water inside your home:

  1. Wash only full loads in the clothes washer and dishwasher.
  2. Turn off the water while you brush your teeth or shave.
  3. Be sure faucets are completely turned off when not in use; repair leaks in faucets and toilets.

Thank you for your cooperation,
Forest Lakes Water Company

With the hot summer months upon us, it is important that we all do our part to conserve our precious water supply.    Please consider the following water saving tips to help ensure there is adequate water for everyone in our community.

Outdoor watering uses significant quantities of water during the summer months. Lawns only require 1 to 1 1/2 inches of water per week (even during the hottest summer months).  Whether you water with a hose or an irrigation system, a deep watering, less frequently is ideal.  It is recommended that you water the lawn no more than 2 to 3 times per week.  Of course, if it rains, you can skip a watering.  Very early morning watering is ideal (between 4:00 – 9:00 a.m.).

Some other reminders to save water inside your home:
1.  Wash only full loads in the clothes washer and dishwasher; when you replace your appliances, choose more water-efficient models.
2.  Turn off the water while you brush your teeth or shave.
3.  Be sure faucets are completely turned off when not in use; repair leaks in faucets and toilets.

Thank you for your support
